About us

A small workshop with big ideas about what old furniture can become.

Workshop workspace with paints, brushes, and furniture in progress

How we started

Blue Ram Redesigns began the way most good things do: with a piece of furniture nobody else wanted. A pine wardrobe from a house clearance, destined for the tip. A coat of teal paint and some new brass handles later, it sold within hours of being listed online.

That was 2019. Since then we have transformed hundreds of pieces, from bedside tables to Welsh dressers, dining chairs to writing desks. Each one gets the same level of care, regardless of its value or condition when it arrives.

What we believe

We think there is too much disposable furniture in the world. The high street is full of pieces that look fine in the showroom but start falling apart within a couple of years.

Meanwhile, charity shops and house clearances are overflowing with solidly built furniture from decades past. All it needs is someone willing to put the hours in.

That is where we come in. We rescue, repair, and reimagine furniture that still has life left in it. We keep things out of landfill and put something genuinely special back into your home.

Our materials

We choose products that are durable, low-VOC, and kind to the planet

Chalk Paint

Gives a beautiful matte finish with incredible adhesion. Perfect for vintage pieces where you want texture and depth.

Mineral Paint

Self-levelling and durable. Ideal for kitchens and high-use furniture where a smoother finish is wanted.

Natural Waxes

For protection and sheen. We use clear and dark waxes to seal and enhance painted or bare wood finishes.

Eco Sealants

Water-based topcoats that protect against daily wear without the strong odours of solvent-based alternatives.

Quality Hardware

Brass, ceramic, and leather pulls sourced from independent UK suppliers. The details make the difference.

Reclaimed Wood

When structural repairs are needed, we source matching timber from salvage yards wherever possible.
